66 112 at Falkland Yard Freight Terminal.
66 112 has just arrived in the disused Falkland Yard Freight Terminal with engineers ballast train 6K47 06.35 Girvan to Carlisle Kingmoor Yard. The train is a short consist of 5 autoballaster HQA wagons top and tailed with 66 007 on the rear. A working like this would normally recess and reverse in the Up Reception the otherside of the mainline but on this occasion it was blocked out with a coal train. 6K47 had started out the previous day from Carlisle Kingmoor Yard at 19.55 running to Girvan before performing an overnight stone drop on the single line towards Stranraer south of Girvan. On completion it returned to Falkland Yard to recess and reverse before taking the freight only route via Annbank Junction to Mauchline and the G&SW line to Carlisle.
