One of the CP class 1320's bought secondhand from RENFE in 1989 is seen at Porto Campanhã with a southbound freight. 18 of these locomotives were obtained secondhand from Spain where they had become surplus. This loco 1329 was formerly RENFE class 313's no.313 020. They were an Alco design with most having been built in Spain under licence by Compañia Euskaldana, Bilbao. There operating careers on CP was short lived with one withdrawn in 1994 and another in 1996 followed by the remaining 16 locomotives during 1997.
