66 621 Dukes Drive Viaduct, Buxton with 6H22. #3.
Third time lucky. With 6H22 required to run round in Buxton Up Relief Sidings it is a simple hop by car from the previous location beside the A6 round to here to secure a third shot of the same train within a little over 45mins.
66 621 is labouring up the 1/60 former Ashbourne line out of Buxton and crosses the impressive Dukes Drive Viaduct as it heads south on the branch to Brigg's Sidings where it will access its destination at Hindlow Quarry. The train is unusual as it is loaded where as most trains in this direction are empty to be loaded at either Dowlow of Hindlow Quarries. The wagons are loaded with limestone rocks similar in size to the product called sugar stone. I am not sure why it goes from Tunstead to Hindlow for further processing but the two quarries at Hindlow and Dowlow have some of the purest limestone in Europe and as such some of the output goes into food and pharmaceutical uses.
