73 122 passing Dover Priory. 04/09/1982.

73 122 display Express Passenger disc's is seen passing through Dover Priory with a private charter formed of the then newly restored "British Pullman" VSOE stock. These vehicles had been returned to service in May 1982 for the UK leg of the Venice Simplon Orient Express.

This charter train was probably a corporate hire or wine and dine special and was destined for Dover Western Docks but its originating point and running details are unknown. The headcode isn't much help either as as 2 does not relate to this route but the train probably would have originated at London Victoria via Canterbury East direct or via Ramsgate and Deal.
