Looking very forlorn are three withdrawn Hastings DEMU vehicles stored in the open at Mountfield Exchange Sidings in East Sussex. Leading the line is power car S60021 from set 1014 while behind is TCK no. S60716 from set 1031 and bringing up the rear another power car this time S60023 from set 1015.
With electric services scheduled to start from the May timetable change the surviving DEMU's by this date were cobbled together formations using vehicles from various sets. Those vehicles with poor bodywork and serious corrosion issues were sidelined first exemplified by the vehicles seen here.
