We are amused
Week in week out, the Heathfield trip freight could be predicted to turn up a St.Blazey 37, or one turned out from Laira on a test run. On a suitably murky 19th December 1990 we were surprised to find the blunt front of a 47 creep into view, and even more surprised when it turned out to be 47835. Windsor Castle was one of the favoured 47s for Royal Train duty at the time, so this was an interesting turn for it, to put it mildly. (t130-17f)
