12V(50W) halogen lightbulb inside a nest of insulated copper cable.

 

The idea is that I will build up more coils untill it represents a entity that can be picked up and placed around the home. It will be protected and shaded by its own coiled wires. The coils will eventually end at a single long cord that when placed back at its 'home' will switch the light off through the use of a micro switch. I hope this to personify the object and to raise the issue of responible power use.
