West Cache Creek, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge

This picture was taken at the Boulder Picnic area inside the wildlife refuge. There were quite a few areas along this side road for photo opportunities. This picnic area was at the end of the road. The creek was a nice tranquil place to visit.

 

I'm not sure if there are any fish in the creek, but I did see one turtle. He took one look at me and took off. He wasn't very photogenic. One thing to be wary of, there are a lot of chiggers in the area. Make sure you bring bug spray.
