nesting time

house martins building nests. After wetting the ground yesterday what happened last night it rained or should i say mor like monsoon in my neck of the woods! but they are building nests like fury i have only seen three pairs but about quater mile away notice quite a few birds another ten or so birds which im sure are more than last year which is great as the house martins and swallows need some help now especially in the south east as all species are on a sharp decline so it is joy to see these birds oh and also seen lot more swifts in my patch looking for nest sites . i feel we can help birds quite a lot more just by being a lot more observant and see there real needs help in dry weather just making a pool made unbeleivable reaction by the birds the little pool was bombared with house martins
