PAGODA SPIRE, on the erskine church.

an attempt at contre-jour into the sun, at the meetings of the river esk, (border esk) and the river ewes. from the castleholm, on a frosty morning. of the empty and disused erskine church, built in 1867 architect r baldie, the spire has been under scaffolding for years and takes on a pagoda effect, when framed against the sun. wish they would hurry up and remove it, it's starting to spoil a lot of photographs of the town for people. langholm, dumfriesshire, scotland. view large
