Brandon, Wisconsin

On Black Friday 2023, the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad’s Y501 crew out of Horicon was tasked with using the WAMX 5901 and 5904 to make a run out to Markesan and return. Having completed the work on the branch and now on the return trip back to Horicon, a crew change occurred here at Brandon at the junction of the Oshkosh Sub and Markesan Sub. With the L595 crew now on board, the sharp dressed former NS GP59 duo is accelerating to begin the last leg of the run south to Horicon with 4 loaded sand hoppers. The Oshkosh Sub splits diagonally through this town laid out on a grid system, leading to some odd shaped property lots and buildings like those of this coop/feed mill buildings near the E. Bowen St Crossing.
