Cotton Module
These modules are used to store the cotton until it can be ginned. These took the place of what were called cotton trailers. My first memory of cotton picking was with a gunny sack. The adults used a long cloth bag that could hold a couple hundred pounds of cotton. It was weighed and put into a cotton trailer, a person or two would be in the trailer tromping cotton to get as much as possible into the trailer. Then it would be taken to the gin. As for mechanical cotton pickers. In 1952 my Dad, Uncle Babe and I went to Arvin to pick up a cotton picker. I can remember riding the cotton picker with my uncle to his ranch on White Lane.
