Apollo Theater
The historic Apollo Theater on 125th street in Harlem. I shot this out of the front window while driving on 125th. I spent my early years on the force assigned to the 125th street station and have watched this street change to the better. I was down there during the crack epidemic and was a real craphole with all the crime. Many great dinning locations opened over the last 8 years and my favorite is the Dinosaur BBQ at the end of 125th street near the West side highway. That is where I was headed when I shot this. Food is fantastic, but a long wait to get in.
Converted in PS and gave an antique look and selective color to have the neon light stick out.
