Today my kids' school was out on a walking field trip to a nearby park to do some plant research and water sampling. I go along as the resident photojournalist (a big sacrifice, right?). The entire time, Sammie kept asking me to take pictures of this flower and that flower. I finally gave in, and I'm glad I did. While I love all the pictures of the kids hard at work, this is actually my favorite. This pretty yellow flower is so still and peaceful, even with 84 kids stomping around within inches of its home. 9/10/12
