ꒌ ﹏﹏ ГЕНЕРАЦИЈА, танкер за сада све драгоценија течна горива (ближе) мимоилази се са лакшим и мањим, такође немачким али теретњаком ВОЛАНТИСОМ (удаљенији, види се само задњи део, надградња и крма).
Ово је прва серија слика коју сам поставио овог новог, тек начетог априла 2026. Свима који ово читају и гледају желим благополучан, миран и добрим чињењем плодан април. Посебно вам желим здраво расуђивање у смутним временима која би се могла назвати и Година Пандорине кутије. Јер тешко да ће се до маја па чак и до лета нешто разрешити. Злочинитељи су упорни у свом злочињењу. Ми пак имамо слободу да чувамо свој поглед на свет око нас и не учествујемо у злу већ у добру, макар и само мислено. Желим вам много ’погођених’ снимака у првом месецу који у целини лежи у пролећу – за неке најлепшем годишњем добу. У овом месецу нас чека експлозија светлости, а онда у мају — експлозија живота! Што су и два најважнија предуслова и компоненте сваке фотографије.

GENERATION (closer) is an inland, liquid cargo tanker, sails under the flag of Germany. She is 109 meters long and 11 meters wide with a draught of 2,3 meters. Here seen downstream with a crew member on the upper deck next to the command bridge. At the moment of uploading this she is currently moored in the town of Südstadt (near the city of Mainz in Germany) on the river Main. I hoped that the crew member will salute me but he went inside instead.
VOLANTIS (further, just the superstructure and stern), also under the flag of Germany, is 91 meters long, 9 meters wide and currently moored in Tuindorp, the Netherlands Customs, next to German border at the very spot where the Boven-Rijn (the Upper Rhine) is renamed to the Bijlandsch Kanaal. The name which it will keep for mere 5 km (just over three miles!) before it continues as the Waal. The Waal shall soon be renamed to the Boven Merwede when it is joined by the Meuse, just before the bridge you can partly see in the left corner. The Boven Merwede will keep its name for 9 km only. Just behind Volantis in the distance are the waters of the Nieuwe Merwede (left) and the Beneden Merwede to the right. However, it will change its name another several times before it reaches nearby Rotterdam. And that is, my dear visitor, the Dutch tradition with their own waterways. Which is just as logical and justified as the hundreds of names Inuits have for the various types of snow.
Captured two minutes after the astronomical sunset. With the sun at the surface of the Earth gone, all the light on the water is reflection of the sky. Being already subdued, the scenery was dark and murky. So I lifted the brightness of the scenery a bit.
This is the first series of images I am uploading in April of 2026. I want each and everyone of you who made it so far, reading this caption and watching the photograph, a happy, peaceful and sunny April this year. Lots of necessary wisdom, undisturbed reflexion, creative approach and outlook on the world around us, lots of worthy clicks and timeless captures as well as sound discernment in the first month that lies fully in the spring. It has just commenced. April is the Light Bringer, and May is the Life Bearer. Both being the very essentials we badly need for our photography!
