PETSinc.org Presents Turtle. He is much smaller that she appears in these photos. She was found abandoned, tied to a tree. Our best guess is that she is part Australian Cattle Dog/Boston Terrier. She is about 10 months old and has already had a litter of pups (no trace of them have been found).
Turtle's overall condition told us a lot about the kind of life she had endured. Life on a chain was evident. She has been maintained on a poor diet and had likely never seen a vet, a bath tub or even a hair brush. At only 10 months old she was malnourished. She was infested with parasites. She had cuts, scrapes and a badly sprained front ankle.
Despite all of this, Turtle has been a friendly, gentle dog during every part of her treatments. never offering even a hint of resistance. She seems to be happy to have the care and appreciates the concern from our staff.
