Private 22583514 Norman WilliamSHARP, 1st Battalion, Duke of Wellingtons Regiment. Killed in action 29th May 1953 aged 39. He is at rest in grave 3422, United Nations Memorial Cemetery, Pusan, Korea
1972 Northern Ireland
Warrant Officer Class 2, 22531241,Arthur McMillan. Aged 37 (HQ. Coy) Gordon Highlanders. From Ross-shire (Married). Killed along with two of his soldiers (Sgt Ian Mark MUTCH and L/Cpl Colin LESLIE) by a booby trap bomb while they searched a derelict house near Lurgan ,Co Down on the 18th June 1972 aged 37. He is at rest in grave 38, Section 492, Grave Row. lawn Section at Northern Cemetery, Hull, East Yorkshire

Lance Corporal 24347663 Gary David BINGLEY (Military Medal) 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment. Killed in Action at Goose Green on the 28th May 1982 aged 24. He is at rest in Grave 94 at Aldershot Military Cemetery, Aldershot. Hampshire.

Throughout 28th May 1982, the 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment were engaged in fierce fighting to take well entrenched enemy positions in 'the area of the Goose Green settlement on the Island of East Falkland. Lance Corporal Bingley was a Section Commander. During the battle his section came under fire at close quarters from two enemy machine-gun posts. To destroy the enemy positions
he led his section in the assault and whilst leading was fatally wounded. His heroic action enabled his company to continue their advance and was significantly instrumental in defeating the enemy.
The QUEEN has been graciously pleased to approve the award of the Military Medal to the under mentioned in recognition of bravery during the operations in the South Atlantic:
2009 Afghanistan
Sergeant 25061301 Michael LOCKETT, (Military Cross) 2nd Battalion Mercian Regiment died 21st September 2009 aged 29. At the time of his death on 21 September 2009, he was working with the Afghan National Army at Patrol Base Sandford. He had volunteered to stay at the base because new soldiers were due to arrive, and he wanted to ensure they knew as much about the local area as possible.] He was investigating an improvised explosive device, when it detonated, killing him, and injuring two nearby soldiers.
He is at rest in Grave 404 at Linn Cemetery, Lainshaw Drive, Glasgow, Scotland
Sgt Lockett received the MC last year from the Queen for his ‘outstanding bravery’.
He had repeatedly led his men forward under heavy enemy fire during a night-time battle with Taliban insurgents near the town of Garmsir in Helmand province in September 2007.
The father of three from Moni-fieth, near Dundee, rescued several wounded comrades and the bodies of fallen British soldiers from the battleground, while under heavy fire.
