Berrells Seed Store, John's Gate, Donore Road, Drogheda. A 19th century two story four bay rubble limestone seed barn that once was pebble dashed Eight loft ventilation shafts with five on ground floor. Three of the bays are loading doors for dropping grain sacks into carts which pulled up underneath

The barn once was roofed and a wall connected it to the end gable on right The complex was occupied till at least 2015 At some point between then and 2017 the occupier of the property died, the trees in the back of the properties have been grubbed up, all windows of properties to the right of seed barn have been bricked up and two of the units had their roofs removed. Sad! Sickening!

An image of the Seed Store in its prime taken between 1880- 1900 from an elevated position (Hill of the 101 steps) by William Lawrence's chief photographer Robert French, with the plate Number: Drogheda 6171 WL exists in the National Library Of Ireland's Lawrence Collection.
