Glasgow Corporation L163 (SDG65)

Photo Location :- GVVT Bridgton Bus Depot, Glasgow.
Notes :- New to Glasgow Corporation Transport as their L163, 10/1958 and allocated to Parkhead garage. it would pass to the newly formed Greater Glasgow PTE in 1973. Withdrawn in 1976 but remained with the PTE as a depot shunter until finally passing in to preservation in 1980.
In 2003 it returned to service as a tour bus with Glasgow Corporation Transport Ltd and latter with First after the business was purchased by them. Here it was officially allocated national fleet number 39997 but carried PD3 on the bus. It re-entered preservation in 2006 with current owners Glasgow City Council and is housed at GVVT's Bridgton Bus Depot in Glasgow.
