Ruby Beach Reflections
A Pacific Northwest sunset reflected at low tide on Olympic National Park's Ruby Beach in Washington. The late afternoon initially did not look promising, photographically speaking; heavy gray clouds blanketed the western sky and I thought briefly about heading elsewhere. But patience often pays dividends, and as luck would have it, just before sunset, things took on a different complexion...so to speak. I'm glad I hung around and was treated to this incredible vista - shared only with a few gulls!
