Perhaps you've heard of the story of The Moth and the Flame, which they say, Dona Teodora read to Pepe as a child.

 

But looking at its design, it's unlikely for a moth to be able to flirt with this lamp's flame. Perhaps this is closer to Simoun's nitroglycerin-filled lamp.
