AUTOmatic Single Path Error Correcting system.

a 9 racks transistorized modular system.

This unit transformed the 5 unit telex code to a 10 unit code with built in error correction capability.

A novelty in merchant shipping at the time.

 

Sepia PHKW

when built in 1961, its shipsradiostation was fitted with a MIMC Globespan transmitter and

two (!) MIMC Atalanta receivers.
