Elephants forming Ranks

We came across this heard of elephants near the river and stopped our vehicle to watch. They started moving up the hill toward our vehicle and started forming ranks. As they formed, the small elephants moved to the inside, to be surrounded by the grown elephants. It was a magical thing to watch as they passed across the road in front of us. I marveled that the little ones could be inside that mass and not get stepped on.
