Massive Storm in Chicago & Surrounding Area - August 4, 2008

These storms (there were several in a row) unleashed an unheard-of amount of energy. Just in a 10-mile radius in Chicago, there were over 90,000 lightning strikes; and those were only those that hit the ground! They were averaging 15 per second. Torrential rains, winds and tornadoes in just a few hours. Who says the midwest is dull!
