All set to flaunt

Beads always fascinate me. As a kid I would cut those empty ball point pen refills and make beads out of it, sometimes some colourful and interesting seeds too served as beads.

I used to collect all kinds of beads in my treasure box and every time I saw a new garland or jewellery, I would wait for the day when it gets old or break so that I could collect those beads and store it (that's quite sadist :P). The town where I grew up was quite small and I hardly knew of a place where I could buy loose beads so I never missed a chance of collecting beads from broken pieces of jewellery from here and there.

A dear friend of mine introduced me to beads jewellery at my Design school. I kept learning new ways of weaving beads together from her. Now I could also go to this special shop in Gandhinagr, Gujrat (India) which sells a variety of beads, sequences and other embroidery and decorative materials. This shop always used to be my favourite and a trip to the shop always thrilling. So now the treasure box was bigger and it become specifically a beads box where I store beads of many variety and colours. I recently used my favourite blue coloured beads to make this earrings. And while I was weaving the beads in the earring I was almost reliving all these moments.

I just love the way how we meet people and how we keep getting inspired from each other and how our experiences with them add value to our lives in small & big ways.

 

I turned an old plain earring into new and fashionables ones using beads.
