47519 + 47328 + 37010 Wigan CRDC 14th August 2005
47519 + 47328 + 37010 at Wigan CRDC. With all reusable componants removed the last few locos await removal to CF Booths Rotherham. With the mass withdrawal of older diesel classes by EWS during the late 90's, Springs Branch became the main component recovery & distribution centre with the influx of class 66's taking over most freight throughout the country. By 2005 EWS had finished stripping locomotives and removed all the remaining demics by road to Booths.
If i recall a lot of the 37/0's here had returned from France and were now surplus to requirements along with railfreight and ex RFD 47'0s & 3's. As EWS soldiered on with RES 47/7's, most of the remaining 47/4's & 5's were also withdrawn.
