Cod Roe
A yarn with Murchad Aonghas Domhnall is invariably fascinating. He once told me of going to the cod fishing at Longa with his father and brothers (“and a Bodach From Badacro”)with the Ebenezer in the early 1950s. They had some haul which they landed in Kyle. Included in the landing was 80 Stones of Cod Roes. That’s 508KGs for you youngsters!
