Up to the hut
Well, to be more precise, the Pompolona Lodge, our stop for the night.
The rain finally stopped around lunchtime, which was good. We had already had to wade through some flooded sections of the track, and there were contingency plans for crossing a river before the lodge. In fact, there is a shelter called the "Bus Stop" for hikers to wait if the river is not cross-able. Fortunately, the river had subsided enough that we could cross at the ford.
This is pretty typical of the beech forest we hiked through. It was beautiful!
