Method 17
This part is critical. The clay must be flexible and no less than No 4. Difficult to see, but I have a piece of very fine material that I press onto the inner side of the piece. This reinforces and adds strength. There must be no weakness or cracks in the clay and the fold point. It is to be wrapped around the foil covered lozenge. In later work I have laminated in a stronger cloth.
