QuickTest Super-Takumar 6X7 2.4/105 + RC 67 2X (on APS-C)
The Super-Takumar 6X7 2.4/105 with the Rear Converter 67 2X. A 5.6-45/210 real tele lens combination shot on Pentax K-7 and cropped to the center (in a 6X7 format). Green/red CA when wide open at 2.4 and at f:4 is gone almost at f:5.6. Sharpness is quite good. Best at f:11, The lens is slightly less sharp with the converter added. Minimum focus distance is 1M and (these shots where at ca. 3M) to 20M and infinity. It has a long throw from 1M to 4M where the most precise focussing can be done. The out-of-focus background (outside) was about 25M away.
"Let's say you needed to shoot a 200mm at f/45 to get enough DOF for a shot. This could be done with the 105mm plus 2X converter. It becomes a 210mm with f/45. The focal ratio changes because the diaphragm remains unchanged, yet the focal length is lengthened." (See Desertscape´s review).
