Still life portrait of drill bits
The "two bits" I know are mining industry's diamond drill bit lower left and oil patch's tri-cone bit upper right. Can anyone identify any of the rest of these shiny beauties?
Leduc No. 1 Energy Discovery Centre is a history-and-science-and-technology museum awaaay out in the countryside of Alberta. The 1947 discovery was the first hole drilled into western Canada's conventional oil fields. Seven decades of Canadian petroleum industry contributed to this world-class facility and its collections. Great educational stop for schools and well-stocked naturalist gift shop for kids of all ages.
Everything and anything related to the Alberta Oil Patch are inside and outside but the place needs flickrites with big bags of lenses instead of me and my point-n-shoot.
