Seeking Same [Monochrome]

I stepped out of the car last night, and the water running across the parking lot caught my eye.

 

This is also something of a red letter image. I was in a long creative funk over the winter, but started to snap out after going on a photowalk with my camera club. But this... this is the first image I caught "on my own". I'm not only shooting again, I'm *seeing* again.

 

The original (see below) was processed in DPP, then converted to monochrome and further tweaked in PSE.
