I made this photo on April 6, 2020 as Melody and I were standing in line an hour and 20 minutes before the Costco warehouse store near San Francisco Airport was scheduled to open. This was in the early days of social distancing; but everyone was wearing masks and keeping distance though no lines had yet been painted on the pavement. The store seemed to be well prepared as they opened an hour early to accommodate us. Distancing, shopping, and checkout systems have gotten better throughout the many weeks since the Bay Area's shelter-in-place was ordered. I shot this using my Samsung S10e cell phone that I carried with me for a couple weeks before returning to relying on my trusty point and shoot Canon SX50.
