This photo of an empty bench set back from main paths is the last of three photos in this series made in a period of less than 10 minutes as I meandered along Martin Luther King Jr Drive - one of the main thoroughfares in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. I periodically take photos of this bench, sometimes empty, sometimes with people, and once even with a red tailed hawk in a tree behind it. This bench is accessible from Martin Luther King Jr Drive and the paths leading to several main venues of the park, including the Botanical Garden, Japanese Tea Garden, deYoung Museum, and the California Academy of Sciences. I shot this mid January 2018 using my Canon Powershot SX50.
