This is an image of my bride Melody squared off with videographer Stephan Ruenzel. She was not shooting him but he definitely caught her on camera.
You likely won't be taking photographs even when participating in an interview about your photography. However, when you are interviewing with as experienced and professional a team as the crew for the Doug McConnell show Open Road on NBC Bay Area, things run smoothly, despite barking dogs, fire engine sirens, and etc. which interrupted our conversation a couple of times. Melody and I did not have to do anything but be ourselves and provide some photographs of the Conservatory of Flowers, Filoli, Mono Lake, and Bodie ghost town covered in our chat with Doug McConnell.
After the main interview was completed, Melody and I spent some time where videographer Stephan Ruenzel shot a b-roll video that was used as filler to transition from shot to shot in the final production. Melody and I were asked to do what we would normally do in the park like setting of the Presidio where we were shooting. We walked up and back a path, actually taking photographs along the way. I don't remember doing all the things that made it into the final production, but that was exactly why we were able to relax and let the pros do their jobs.
