SR 31853 double heading a GWR class 4321 leaving Ilfracombe

Taken from an undated photograph by K A Stone in my collection.

SR N class, built Ashford April 1925 numbered A853 using parts manufactured at Woolwich Arsenal. Later numbered 1853. Renumbered 31853 April 1949. Front end conversion July 1960. Withdrawn September 1964.

The GWR loco cannot be identified, neither can the Hymec loco in ther righthand platform.
