Cummins 5.9 with front timing cover emoved

This Cummins has been a real hard truck to troubleshoot and repair. It was bought on the internet, site unseen, from out of state, by a customer of mine. It has a Bank's Turbo and module on it as well. The camshaft gear was backed off about 1" and it was hitting the timing cover. It kept setting a code for the cam sensor, and after fuc*king with this thing for a few friggin days, pulled the front cover to look and wow, were we surprised. This picture is after we have "heated" and pushed it back onto the camshaft. (yikes! I know better!!BUT, had to do it. It will be fine though. Why did it back off? I am not sure at his point, maybe someone swapped cams, since it has abunch of add on stuff bolted to it, I do not know or maybe there is some other hidden problem which will surface as soon as we drive it. Time will tell.
