Hyde Park Police Station

Built in 1902 the Police Station has changed hands several times over the years between the Metropolitan Police and the Royal Parks Police. At the moment it is with the Metropolitan Police. It used to house a section house which meant Police Constables lived there but not in rooms, they lived in cubicles. Apparently there was no place like it during the summer, everybody who lived there wanted to be there. Unfortunately one day a senior officer visited and was appalled that officers were living in essentially Victorian conditions and promptly closed the section house down much to the occupants displeasure. They were moved to section houses where there were actually rooms.
