Trafalgar Square

A late 1920s postcard published by J. Beagles & Co Ltd showing the view looking north east from the junction of Cockspur Street and The Mall. From the left, the National Gallery, Nelson's Column, the Coliseum, St. Martin in the Fierlds and Morley's Hotel. The Gyratory system in the square has been in force since April 1926 and buses from Whitehall each carrying an advertisement for a beverage enter Cockspur Street and the one way system. The taxis on the right are waiting in a rank which occupied the centre of the road.
