St. James's Palace

This is a Raphael Tuck postcard printed in Holland and dating from 1902/1903 showing the view looking south from the bottom of St. James's Street. As well as a front on view of St. James's Palace, on the right is a building at 87-88, St. James's Street which is being demolished, the replacement building was designed by Norman Shaw, the architect of Scotland Yard, for the Alliance Insurance Company. In the 1970s it was used as a Post Office. See link.
