IMG_1498 - Clive and Rosey's 5th Wedding Anniversary . . .
I joined the ChristiaNet Friendship Site and Rosey had done the same, yet we did not know each other at this stage. I had been computer literate for many years, Rosey was just learning how it all worked. Her good friend encouraged her to enrol in this site so she could make friends with men around the world and I joined to make friends with women around the world.
I was living in Tin Can Bay in Queensland at the time. I had just visited Tasmania, my home state in Australia, and 2 nights before I left to return to Tin Can Bay, an ex-workmate of mine had told me about another friendship site which I joined. While in the process of joining up with this site the ChristiaNet site appeared and I decided to join this site also.
I corresponded with a few women then one day I received a letter through this site addressed to me from Rose. It was a beautiful letter. I had posted my profile picture holding my dog at the time, Lottie. Rose did not have a picture posted. I was very impressed with this first letter, it shone way above the other people I was corresponding with at the time.
I replied and a few days later Rose responded again and so our friendship began. I decided to call her Rosey and she agreed to be called by that name. Rosey was living in Hong Kong at the time, so here we were, 2 people on this earth and out of the trillions of people, here we were connected, such is the awesome power of God.
Years before this I had put out a request to God that when the time was right, please bring the most perfect woman for me into my life. When Rosey wrote to me first I knew she was special by the letter she had written but did not realise how far and fast our friendship would grow, quickly into a relationship and then eventually marriage.
I even proposed to Rosey without seeing her after 6 months and after a stunned silence of one minute or so, she agreed to be my wife at some stage in the future, providing on meeting we deemed each other suitable!!
On April 27, 2006, on the beach at Tin Can Bay (called Nursery Beach because it is a very safe place for little children to play/swim) we were married at 5 pm in the afternoon with 32 witnesses, including the matron and her husband of the age care facility in Tin Can Bay where Rosey was volunteering during her stay in Oz. Also there were 2 of the residents who absolutely adored Rosey and she them. Sadly, these two have passed on and when Rosey returned to the Philippines, their great wish was for her to "come waltzing through the door as she aways does" as a complete surprise. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
So after 5 years, we celebrated at the Bowls Club in Leeton, New South Wales, and had a lovely Chinese meal and it was YUMMY!!!!!!
I hope you have enjoyed our journey!!!!! It has been and will continue to be, a lot of fun and being devout Christians, we are enjoying our close relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. May God continue to bless you all.
Love and blessings always, Clive and Rosey xxxx
