Bird of Prey diddley bow

A found-object sculpture/instrument built by legendary luthier/pickup maker, Ted Crocker. This diddley bow started out as a discarded chair that Crocker disassembled and turned into a Steampunk Star Trek creation. It sports a hand-wound pickup and a single bass string. Can be plucked or bowed. Fascinating sounds!

 

Ted also built the iconic guitar for the movie, The Honeydripper.
