Botany Bay diamond weevil?
A long way from Botany Bay, but still loving a wattle. Is this Chrysolopus spectabilis? Dargo VIC Australia, December 2010.
Actually I really don't know whether this is a Botany Bay diamond weevil, and I have my doubts.
1. I found it in Victoria, and there aren't many recorded sightings from Victoria, see species profile on ALA. (There may also be other reasons that occurrences don't show up in ALA.)
2. Although at first glance it looks like one, see Mike's photo of a Botany Bay weevil, the markings on the body are different.
3. The green is a different colour
