Not only the full color has returned and additional growth

and new bud formation this can in two months earn a shaping.

 

I think what should be done is new bud removal by light shaping I'd still like this a bit more compact before shortening longest branches Its now branch diameter I'm looking for and that's done by leaving it untrimmed but leaving it without trimming doesn't add new branch production and fullness.

As it stands its better looking with all the new that's going on

and I haven't killed it, I think its due to now knowing each trees growing cycle and when to do work and when not too .

As I look at this image I saw a radical removal idea that's not out of the question, since this trunk is wonderfully fat and cool looking, I just saw a major reduction point (in red) but it doesn't mean it will happen it would be a new shorter apex point , and the second leader branch could be further reduced back with many apex points to choose from but it would look killer!
