Black Cherry ML

A growing spurt in a day.

So since putting my project inside seems a good idea that no

negative color change is seen and leaves look much healthier than my other Black cherry projects which remain outside, so good in fact

I decided today for the ML's first trimming, nothing heavy or drastic just enough to help new growth to survive on the base .

This also should help with growing more feeder roots.

 

If this remains in the same good health this project will be far worth it putting off the root work till next spring.

 

This is, so far.. my first tree with some age removed from its original spot and potted . "ML" is a reference since I have many Black cherry projects, this is a Multi Leader tree if this project survives it will produce lots of branching ,low and super compact ,leaving more options for ideal upper branch work shaping .

 

For this zone, July begins its downward decline for this kind of work, usually lower suckers burn up and leaf fall from past experiences, so far its not showing any but again a lot can happen till October then if I winterize it well enough for the long wait for April.
