Day 6: Guidebook
There were some magazines and travel books at the laundromat for people waiting around, like me, to read or browse through. One of the travel books was about the West Coast of the US, so I picked it up to see what they'd say.
This section, in the back, featured English phrases that Japanese tourists may have found useful. The usual stuff was there: ordering at restaurants, asking where things are, and so on. Then there was this section about what to do when you are a victim of crime.
Japan is such a low-crime society that they think America is a bedlam of shootings and robberies from coast to coast.
