Swainson's Hawk DSC_8236

Taken south of Calgary.

 

I was taking some pictures of Killdeer's and Sandpiper's when this guy showed up. He made a number of passes over my head, but I couldn't see any young ones nearby. I was about a half mile from where I saw three juveniles last week so I'm assuming this is one of the parents. Maybe it recognised me from before.
