Count the legs—harvestmen in a rotting log
I broke a piece of wood of a very rotten log and there were THOUSANDS of harvestmen inside. They went nuts when I broke off the wood. Sorry guys, didn't mean to hurt your house. I'd never heard of harvestmen inhabiting rotten wood.
ID update: These are Cosmetid harvestmen.
