Typhoon Ondoy Benefit Concert
Presented by Ayala Foundation USA, Diverse City Theater Company, Philippine Consulate General. October 12, 2009. Kalayaan Hall at The Philippine Center, New York City. Music director: Larry Yurman. Producers: Marc Galindo, Victor Lirio, Ronna Sieh. This event generated nearly $100,000 in ticket and online donations for the typhoon relief fund.
PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION to help build the communities lost from this calamity. The typhoon, which resulted to the countrys worst flooding disaster in over 40 years, has displaced over 450,000 people and left 380,000 living in makeshift shelters. There are 246 known to have died in severe flooding caused by the typhoon which struck on Saturday, September 26th.
