UWA Flagship Challenge Entry & Glass Forest Floor Sculpture

"Design a building that captures the essence of creative engagement, which could possibly be built. "

In this case my Patron build with a full revision thanks to the kindness of a friend ~coughsCucoughs~ to give me both a smack on the back of the head to pursue this opportunity AND the SIM space ( clean palatte ) to drag it too while I picked it to death and redesigned, reviewed & refined. Also credit to Jayjay Zifanwe for the invitation & believing my design was credible enough to be a contender at all. This is huge for me and nothing I had sought nor considered. I'm in the company of some astounding talent in this Design Challenge.

Not shown in this image is the amazing art I've been gifted, trusted & permitted to drag in there , Art that's the life blood of the build to me. Contributors include Joshua Morane , Stephen Venkman, Bark Aabye, Keith Extraordinaire, Cariad Morgath, Bluu Jatho , Raul Crimson and myself.

Open Day viewing to be notified soon.

"This is tomorrow! AXS/lab will be an interdisciplinary, experimental collaboration between art, architecture and science. It will provide insights into the world we are shaping by putting a microscope on the research undertaken across the University of Western Australia. It will provide a showcase for the work of SymbioticA for the architects and designers from the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Visual Arts, the Western Australian Supercomputer Program (WASP) in Physics, Computer Science students and others on campus who are exploring new possibilities for themselves and their communities and for those working with new and emerging technologies to shape our future.

AXS/lab will incorporate a cinematheque, a black box performance / installation space, a science/art gallery, wet-labs, offices and teaching and presentation spaces for a range of activities across campus.

It will also provide a hub for the Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC), of which UWA is a partner. "
